AI at the Edge: TinyML and Edge Computing Conference

We invite you to participate in the conference ‘AI at the Edge: TinyML and Edge Computing Conference’, organised by the International Chair in Reliable Artificial Intelligence and Demographic Challenge, together with the University of Salamanca. In it, we will explore how artificial intelligence is evolving from the cloud environment to the edge, driving faster, safer and more efficient applications.

The conference will be led by Jesús Alfonso López Sotelo (Ph.D.), an electrical engineer with a Master's degree in Automation and a Doctorate in Engineering, who has more than 25 years of experience in teaching and developing projects related to Artificial Intelligence. His areas of interest are artificial neural networks and deep learning, Artificial Intelligence in edge devices (Edge AI), fuzzy systems, evolutionary computing, teaching artificial intelligence and the impact this technology may have on our society.

He is a senior researcher at MinCiencias, Colombia's national science, technology and innovation system. He is a professional member of the IEEE, where he belongs to the national chapter of the Computational Intelligence Society. He also belongs to the https://tinyml.seas.harvard.edu/4D/. He is currently affiliated with the Autonomous University of the West in Cali, Colombia.

He has published several articles, book chapters and books on the topics of Artificial Neural Networks, Deep Learning and other artificial intelligence techniques. Among his intellectual output, his textbook Deep Learning, Theory and Applications stands out and is used as reference material in various higher education centres.

He has been invited as a speaker at various national and international events to give talks on the technical aspects and social impact of Artificial Intelligence.
